Winter 2026
As part of Dangerfield’s 2026 recruitment process, I was invited to develop a capsule collection for Winter 2026, responding to the brand through my own design perspective. My collection progressed through to the finalist stage, where I presented the work to Dangerfield’s Head Designer and Senior Fashion Designer.
Develop a cohesive Winter 2026 capsule that felt recognisably Dangerfield while bringing a fresh, contemporary perspective to the brand.
The range needed to balance printed and solid garments across two dresses, a blouse, trousers and knitwear, with supporting mood and inspiration boards, CADs and a full tech pack for one selected style.
Dangerfield is a Melbourne-born alternative fashion brand with a strong point of view. They blend vintage references, punk and goth influences with playful, contemporary styling. Its customer is drawn to individuality, statement pieces and clothing that feels expressive rather than conventional.
With that in mind, the collection needed to feel recognisably Dangerfield without simply repeating what had come before: distinctive enough to have personality, while remaining relevant and wearable for the Winter customer.
The brief came with an archival Dangerfield print as the starting point for the collection.
I used the print as a thread throughout the range, exploring how its colours, motifs and character could translate into new silhouettes and placements. Alongside the archival reference, I researched current fashion trends and seasonal direction to build a collection that felt connected to the brand while still looking forward.
The final range was developed through mood and trend direction, silhouette development, CADs, print repeat and placement, and technical design.
I presented the completed range directly to Dangerfield’s Head Designer Ruby Slockee and Senior Fashion Designer Linda Pham, where I talked through the collection, design decisions and response to the brief, and received feedback.
